Just One Kiss

"Just one kiss" he said, "To show just how I feel. I promise you can lead, I shall not take the wheel." I knew not what to say To my dear long time friend. I told him, "I'm not gay, And not much one to bend." He gazed in to my eyes, And whispered oh so sweet. "I promise you no harm, Just allow me this treat." A smile took my face, I leaned in nice and slow. He kissed me with such grace, Such feeling did he show. He held me tenderly, My arms draped over him. A gentle memory, Always bright, never dim. I'd never felt so warm, So happy or so good. He took my heart by storm, I never thought he could. When it was done I smiled, Wiped a tear from my eye. He held on for a while, I never asked him why.
