Just Memories

The warmth of his touch,
The sparkle in his eyes.
Just remind me what I’ve missed more than I realized.
The gentleness he showed to others
The kindness of his smile,
Made one feel they had known him all their lives and not just a short while,
When he spoke, it was as if he looked deep into their soul.
He made us remember another time,
A time when another young man spoke about hope and peace.
But he also was taken before his time.
All we have now are just memories.
