Just Me To My Own Way

I don't run, I skip

I don't fall, I trip

I don't swim, I skinny-dip

My heart won't crack, it will rip

I don't take things plainly

I was never "good", I was great

I think highly of you mainly

Don't worry when you leave me, I'll always wait

Walk barefoot

Wear shorts

Ankle bracelets, nose rings

Loose hair

Laughing so hard you snort

3-2-1 blast off

Press the button and watch me fly

I can shoot up to the moon

Fall back and land on your sky

Let's break clouds

Crack mountain tops, split stars

Overtake the things above

So we can leave the heaven's our scars

Let's dance to outer space

Make music that echoes on Saturn's ring

Pluck a guitar string and watch it waver

Make lyrics that will make Venus sing

Step to the beat

Make your sneakers squeak

Beat slips under your soles

Dancin' and singin'

Off your tongue the lyric rolls

I like making noise

I like to break the skies

Chillin with my girls and boys

Life with me is one big surprise
