Just Me

It was me that caught your stare
The wind that’s blowing thru your hair,
So gently right across your lips
Then down your body through your hips …
The creaking of your wooden floors
The draft that comes in thru your doors,
And when you think it’s just the sun
It’s just me touching you for fun …
The reflection in the window pane
That’s always calling out your name,
And every time you take a breath
It’s only me that fills your chest …
Hidden in a thunderstorm
Keeping you so safe and warm,
So you never have to fear
Anything that brings a tear…
If you ever realize
It may come to your surprise
That once you close your eyes and see
That what you’re feeling is just me
