Just Look At the Eyes
Smiling before the mirror I might see
A reflection of someone, not like me.
When did that person begin to change so
Did the years of stress take away the glow?
The hair turning grey, the skin not so bright
Then something else appears to your delight.
Bright eyes tell a story from deep inside
A window to the soul you cannot hide.
Ignore the wrinkles of age, if you’re wise
Nothing else matters, just look at the eyes.
