Just Like the Pacifier- Image 3 2016-04-09

His body pleading for one more drop.
Wailing as it is crippled with pain.
His beating heart begs for just one more taste.
Like a baby cries for its pacifier,
his arm cries for the needle.
The blood running through his veins craves the numbing
feel of its long lost friend.
With his hands trembling,
and eyes watering,
he attempts to feed his addiction.
But the needle will never satisfy the addiction,
just like a pacifier will never satisfy hunger.

Thanks for sharing this... exposing your thoughts through your unique poetic style. Meanwhile, I greet you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Have a blessed day.
