Just Like That

Bearings lost, just like that, dark---can't see

  Tide's pulse doth quicken...

Moorings unpinned, in a flash---at sea

Reaching / stretching / clawing / panic-stricken

   Tide's pulse doth quicken...

Wow! Gershon, I feel like there's so much more below the emotional surface of this deep, intriguing and compelling poem.. my imagination doth run wild.. :)) Very effective use of the repeating line; 'Tide's pulse doth quicken...' it intensifies the panicked spirit of your poem - clever use of language as well, love the rhymes and the use of 'see/sea' and great last line too. A metaphoric beauty, my talented friend.. Warmest wishes.. ~Susan

Are you for hire?! You might even be able to convince someone that I can write poetry! (That would be quite a snow job, speaking of the snowfall here in Chicago this morning). Thank you, my poetic friend! :) gw (soupmail)

You are getting very deep on us lately (No pun intended). I really enjoyed this one GW. It feels empty and lonely and hopeless. Nicely done.
