Just Like Elvis

I spent my common sense at the nearest drug store,
Left my sensibility on the 3rd aisle floor,

I asked the pharmicist what new medication has arrived
I need something quick that will take away pain or make me die

He handed me a poison that just came in
"It's from the Amazon, but I think it will do the trick"

"Take two tablespoons every two hours
Only if your lucky enough too still be alive!" he said with a howl,

I raced past memories and scurried home
I did it just like Elvis and took it on the throne

Oh! Porcelaine delight here I come
But before I could finish singing "Jail House Rock" my body began to feel numb

The words and inspirations of youthful days flashed before my eyes
For a brief second I was almost convinced I'd seen a white light

A good one, there are people abusing drugs of any kind even if it for headaches. Some just take it even though they are okay. Lets pray for those pill poppers that have been addicted to these drugs for God to give them respite and heal them of their inanities.
