Just Friends
There are men in my life
Whom I love and adore
The feeling is mutual
Of this I am sure
Shared feelings of companionship
Loyalty and trust
Compassion and friendship
Not verging on lust
We have an understanding
Without any strings
Soul mates and kindred spirits
They give my heart wings
I love all these men
And the feeling is divine
They light up my life
They make my world shine
Their friendship I treasure
It's worth more than gold
I feel very fortunate
As I'm growing old
To have such warm feelings
And feel so secure
In these troubled times
With so much to endure
How lovely to know
I can simply depend
On the men in my life
Who I can proudly call "friend" .......
If perchance PS poets
This rhyme you have read
I need to tell you sadly
These men are now dead
Except for my dear Husband
And male family
The men that I mentioned
Are all history
