See true legacy when death takes you away:
Each person sadly pays respect today.
Each feels gratitude for your kind caring:
A sure attitude Singaporeans string.
See the crowds and queues that come to thank you:
Tears long overdue tell of Lee Kuan Yew.
Each face in mourning since your sad demise:
Each man addressing sad shock and surprise.
See what you have wrought from emigrant tribes:
All ages share thoughts as outbursts describe.
Each man feels something for our dead hero:
One last word to string as heartaches feel flow.
See the grateful hearts sigh outspoken grief:
Your leaving jerks parts that treasures achieve.
A Singapore tribe will live your spirit:
Your fond words described a people discrete.
See for one last time how a nation mourns:
An outstanding rhyme your great life has sown.
Each side by side sees a future right here:
Let Singapore be excellence endeared.
See and Rest In Peace for all will be well:
We will never cease to fashion prized spells.
