Just For My Dad
( JUST FOR MY DAD )
You are very special,
Funny, caring, kind, it's true,
Two very similar people,
And dad that's me and you
I'm not very good at expressing,
How much you mean to me,
Everything I do in my life,
It's you who holds the key
You hold the key to my future,
And everything I do,
The traits that help me to succeed,
I've inherited from you
You see, me and you are identical,
People comment quite a lot,
I'm proud of this comparison,
It makes me realise what I've got
I have a dad I am close to,
One I know is always there,
Whenever I am sad and low,
It's you that's there to care
Though you don't show it,
As some others may,
You make me laugh and smile,
And always make my day
You have always been there for me,
No matter what the cost,
You are the light of my life,
And without you I'd be lost
I will never outgrow your love,
And will always need you here for me,
No matter how far I travel,
Or how much we disagree
We have a bond like no other,
One that helps me to feel safe,
Around you nothing else matters.
And in you I have that faith
A faith that makes me realise,
You are deep within my heart,
As long as that remains the same,
We can never be apart
I'll always be a daddy's girl,
I know that's deep and true,
And all that remains for me to say,
Is dad?.I love you!
