Just Don'T Expect Me To Be Pleased
I’ll always be here
Just don’t expect me to be pleased
If you live with someone who hits you.
I’ll kick up a fuss
So don’t expect me to keep quiet
I won’t.
I’ll always care
But I do feel cross
You chose to live with someone like that.
You did nothing for months
A big pretence
You said “ it’s fine.” It wasn’t.
The kids were scared
You smiled
Don’t think I couldn’t see you were scared too.
You read in the news
“He did this, he did that.”
“Why didn’t her family help “we all asked.
So I did
I don’t care if you are annoyed
He’s gone. You are safe.
I’ll always be here
Just don’t expect me to be pleased
Not yet, it takes time.
