Just Do what You Say by M. Griswold 04012020 Why don't people do what they say their going to do. Why do people commit to help then not follow though. Maybe it's because it's just not that important to them. Or somehow, somewhere it got lost in their interim. Whether it's their just to busy or just plain forgot. If it wasn't important I would have asked naught. For whatever reason it sure would have been nice. That they be honest at first and not put me on ice. Could it be that I am taken for granted or not seriously. Do I need to be more forceful or possibly even pushy. Not wanting to hound them to much or pester them so. I'm trusting that they will do as agreed and let them go. Caring not to be ignored or be given a verbal round tuit. I asked them on faith in friendship to help and just do it. So when they tell me they forgot or not follow though. It makes me feel real unimportant like I am all taboo. Supposing not that I should count to much on anyone. Is that way it should be, is that way it is really done. In that I would not be disappointed or fully let down. I could go on believing in friendships shinny crown. Maybe I expect to much of friends and others that be. But when I say I'll do something, I do it, that's just me. So please if I ask in friendship "Would you help me out?" Just be honest about it and don't give me all that run-about.

Well-penned, Mitchell. So many people say they'll call or follow up-- and never do. Disappointing, to say the least. Thanks for posting. Cheers and Good Cheer, Gershon

Gershon, Thank you for your kind comment. I remember as a child that my father taught me do always do what you say. I am so disappointed in today's values. Nice to know there is someone else who cares as I do.
