Just Cast a Glance

I wave as you pass by the roadside
But your eyes are only focused on what you see ahead
You can't see what's on the side
I call out to you but you got your music so loud
You can't hear any other so sound
Frustrated i walk away
Kicking them pebbles along the way
Trying to forget my unsucessful play
With my head low i contemplate upon my fate
If only he could see me,
See me for me and not someone along the road
See me for me and not some random person he knows
If only he could see me, i sigh

So today i thought id try again
But it seems i tripped and fell
Course he asked but i choked on my words
Even the smallest of things was hard to tell
I knew changing the topic wouldn't work
Inside i hoped that he got the message
Its never to difficult to decipher this kind
Or maybe its just me and my weird mind
Maybe thats why i hide away in my shell
Though i truly want him see and tell
That there is more to what words can say
A glance in the eye could pave the way
To get a glimpse of what's hidden within
But still, i get the feeling that he already knows
Or maybe its just me and my wierd mind

Anyway better let sleeping dogs lie
Maybe they will wake in time
To sound the alarm of the one who comes uninvited
And makes a home in what was rendered desolate
Bringing life to the broken ground
and cover its nakedness with a sheet of fresh grass
How i wish that day was here
There is no need to explain more
Reading between these line is more than enough to catch the flow
And just maybe you would ride along
And meet me where the currents collide.
