Just Being a Father
Please grudge me not for what I say,
Just being father in a way!
You have grown up in loving care,
cradle days since you were stark bare!
When I reproach do understand,
I am just lending you a hand,
In life’s journey you need a guide,
I will stay with you by your side,
Please grudge me not for what I say,
Just being father in a way!
hear in secret you smoke all day,
from cigarettes, please stay away!
those street urchins may act real smart,
may teach you to blow a smoke dart,
smoke blows a big hole in your bank,
health will slowly walk a death plank,
Please grudge me not for what I say,
Just being father in a way!
Bad habits many there who teach,
Goodness for them is out of reach,
Drugs ruin so many lives yet young,
Helpless drug zombies die unsung,
to feed their habits commit sins,
theft, debauchery ugly twins!
Please grudge me not for what I say,
Just being father in a way!
Gift of god is the human voice,
Keep it polite, be with it nice,
Harsh words hurt, do not use any.
why do stinging bees serve honey?
There is a good art to survive,
Be it a social home or hive!
Please grudge me not for what I say,
Just being father in a way!
growing up can be a great joy,
glorious finds, many ahoy!
Learn life skills that build you a raft,
talents to grow, many a craft,
When big success greets you one day,
You have won and not gone astray,
Please pass on what I had to say,
Just being father in a way!
