Just As I Am

Just As I Am
________________________________

I'm a diamond in the rough,
where as I'm pretty to look at,
I have rough edges that cut deep
Hold me under a mag glass to see my flaws
 see, I told you
not what you thought was perfection, huh?
So what shall you do with me now
has my value to you dropped
do I not mean as much
are you embarrased to have me
or will you hold me like the true gem I am
like I was meant to be
unpolished, shining in certain lights, broken
 perfectly imperfect
and yet you love me anyways
  just as I am.
