Just Another Long Day

It seems that death has been doing his dance again, for this year I’ve already lost too many a friend. I feel as if my life shall come to a very quick end, but I shall prevail and see another long day shine- knowing that they are resting in heaven divine. So there’s this memory I have of when life was sweet, you know when you felt as if you could always defeat? Well, I shall pick myself back up and try to retreat, never failing in what I know I can do with all my might- stand just another long day and continue to fight. Simple days have gone, and black nights have arrived, but someway somehow I have learned and survived. Now an outstanding plan I have definitely contrived. One of strength and motivation to fight another long day- though this year my life seems to be in death’s way. Swaying in the wind with fierce fires against my back, I’ve seen far too much pain and far too much black. But it’s time to get my poor life properly on track, Fearlessly prevailing through another long day ahead- though this anguish runs deep in crimson I’ve bled. March 1, 2019
