Just Alone

Most days I am alone
but every day I am surrounded by faces
Some stop and say hello or ask about my day
But why ask if you don't care?

Sometimes I will meet a man
Who makes me the apple of his eye
He would fill my heart with ecstasy
Then he will find my flaw, and away he goes

I try to talk and laugh along with a crowd
Only to get ignored
The pain of rejection has been my roughest
I often feel neglected and abandoned

I have somewhat gotten used to this
but I will always strive to make things different
I often wonder what it's like to have friends
I wonder what it's like to feel wanted..

Holy smokes Batman. We've got some pain and passion brewing here. Never knew there was so much sadness around till I came to this site. Ain't life a bear? Chin up :-)
