Just a Question.

Do you know who I am?
I’m a girl, a wanderer, a bit too optimist
I’m far from home, and I don’t know how to ask this,

Can you spare me some extra time?
I’m alone, no friends around, a little bit scared
I need a smile or laugh, and I’m not sure if you cared,

But do you know how you’ve saved me?
I’m enthralled by your conversation, your style, a bit needy
I feel like we were friends from the start, I know it’s crazy, believe me

So do you even know my name?
I know yours, your dreams, your day-to-day
I’ve told you mine, we’re much alike, I must say

Will you remember me?
I will leave sometime, maybe soon, and so will you
I’ll think of you often, and I like to hope you would too

Could you call me a friend?
I’d like you to be mine, just once, if only just a suggestion
I don’t mean it to bother you a bit, I have only just a question.
