Just a Kid

When I was just a kid
I had a thing for words
I'd make great rhymes then open the lid
So that out poured all the words
For people to swim in
Cause they were refreshing
And since it was a sea of words, the skin,
Would feel cool from the calming
Undertones of each word carefully laid
Cause before I learnt English,
All that I'd have said
Is that maybe I need to be Polish,
So that I shine my words in the mirror
Cause I was just a kid casting out spells of love,
to all who looked at mirrors
