Just A Flickering Flame In Our Short Life

We are but a Flickering Flame —
In a Brief — uncertain — Light —
That leans against Eternity —
Then vanishes — from Sight —

Yet while the little Lantern burns —
It warms the Hands of Men —
And leaves upon the Darkened Air —
A Glow — remembered — then —
