Just a Few Steps Closer
J-ust a few steps closer,
O-ur Savior will come again;
E-ternal life is in store,
Y-ou have little time left to win.
F-ew steps closer,
L-et's glorify the Almighty's name;
O-ur Father will send His Son,
R-escuing the flock from flame.
E-nd of the world draws near,
N-ever linger nor tarry;
T-ry to turn the trials
I-nto triumph or victory.
N-either foot will go afield, despite the dark and vile weather;
O-n the fourteenth of May, it's just a few steps closer.
