Last night I held you close
I could breathe your sweet scent
Oh, but it was just a dream
Last night I kissed your sweet, soft lips
I embraced you & wouldn’t let go
Oh, but it was just a dream
Last night you touched my face
I can still feel my body tingle from your touch
Oh, but it was just a dream
Last night I thought I heard you said you love me
Suddenly, I could feel the void in my heart fill
Oh, but it was just a dream
Last night I awoke alone in the cold moonlight
Thinking you’d be here but, you were not
Oh, but it was just a dream
