Just a Breeze

Just a breeze,
flew by me,
walking in that green park.
memories flushing through my head,
of a friend,
who lived by me, right next door.
She'd smile at me every so often,
untill her face in her coffin.
A pretty girl,
with no age to expire,
her words run through me
like an electric wire.
I miss her,
I cry for her,
I mourn for her,
if a choice,
I'd die for her.
That park,
I'd see her play,
with kids and dogs,
in her fun way.
I knew her,
the way she knew me,
as a very dear friend.
Her youthful end,
scarred me,
I will never forget her.
As just a breeze,
flew by me,
when I walked in that green park.

Wow! What a story poem. I like the organization and the flow of words. Hopefully, your friend is resting safely in God's arms. Welcome to PoetrySoup. Great job! ~Joseph

So very sorry for your loss. A beautiful tribute to her memory. So tragic when one dies so young. Touching and very well expressed. Love, Shar
