Jumping Castle Tragedy
Jumping Castle Tragedy
Jumping Castle tragedy
Strong winds lift it into the air.
School kids falling,
Parents screaming,
Shocked onlooker’s stop and stare.
Five children dying, three left injured
This devastation can’t believe.
Tears are streaming,
People praying,
Across the nation many grieve.
Devonport a town in mourning
Life will never be the same.
News distressing,
Overwhelming,
Why did this happen, all in vain.
Young lives lost within an instant
Why were these children meant to die?
No rhyme or reason,
Unbelieving,
Lost for words I question why?
Perhaps we’ll never know the answer
Some things in life one can’t explain.
We will remember,
This December,
And with these families share their pain.
