Judgment Over Me
Judgment over me.
Would you trade some sunshine
For just a little rain?
Give up a moments pleasure
To ease a strangers pain?
Can you heal a leper?
Turn water into wine?
Would you sacrifice your life
to save a life like mine?
Can you walk on water?
Make a blind man see?
Then don’t think for a moment
you stand in judgment over me.
I’ve been told and I believe.
Only God can judge.
You have an opinion.
And I don’t hold a grudge.
Do you lead your brother?
By the life you live?
Have you cast out demons?
Have you power to forgive?
Have you served one that serves you?
Do you humbly wash their feet?
Do you give thanks to God above?
Before you break bread to eat?
Have you called out in a storm?
And calmed a raging sea?
Then don’t think for a minute
you stand in judgment over me.
