Judgment Day

I fear Judgment Day. The day my family and friends Hear me say that I am bi. The remainder of my life depends On how they react to that statement. Will I leave me family And find new friends? Or will they Accept me for who I am? I fear Judgment Day. The day everyone sees the real me. When I come into the open And everyone can see The thing I have hidden my life long.

It must be difficult to keep the secret, Ridge. Hopefully, when you do tell your family and friends, they will stand by you. Just be true to yourself and kind to others. The only one who should judge us is God. My motto has always been: "Judge not, lest ye be judged." There's a lot of truth in that. I admire your honest in this well-written, heartfelt poem. Love, Carolyn

this poem is about my greatest fear. i have only admitted my sexuality to friends that i ahve never met in person and i know they wnt judge me because some of them are homosexual. my fear is that when i admit it to my friends and family that i ahve met in person that they will reject me or hate me for what i am. the day will come sooner or later but for now it is a secret.
