Judgement For Contest
You waltzed in the door
Feeling quite entitled
Each instance before
Your words, unbridled
This time, however,
My submissiveness failed
Your jabs just weren’t clever
Not delivered so well
Or perhaps it was I
Who was not quite the same
I chose not to cry
Nor run off in shame
I smiled at your judgment
I kept calm. I kept cool
Your words were redundant
You bragged of your rules
I kept my composure
For a friendly debate
I’m basking in closure
You’re drowning in hate
