Judgement
Judgement
I write this poem so you can judge me
On my thoughts on truths and whatever be
So this concept of Hell or purgatory
Such as an eternal fire of misery
To me is more of a mystery
To use a biblical term it’s Blasphemy!
This idea is relatively new in history
First espoused in Judo/Christian ideology
Not found in previous mythology
So I offer my thoughts with no apology.
What a ridiculous guilt ridden dogma is Hell.
As a child of God does damnation serve me well?
To Err is human yet to forgive is divine,
My path is to be one with God in time.
I make mistakes, I sin and sometimes transgress,
And my life at times has been quite the mess.
So I teach my children to learn from their misgivings,
As they grow I want them to fly and sprout wings.
To make mistakes to sin and to learn,
If God exists he won’t send you to burn!!
He wants you to Err and from falling to grow,
My God is forgiving and here is one thing I know.
Life is pain and through pain comes growth,
Life is love and love should fill us the most.
Life offers choices and choices can be wrong,
If I make the right choices I’ll be God before long.
