Joyous Serenity
Braved a thousand years for you to come back to me
Waved goodbye a million times and it hurts for me to see you go
Made to believe in your lies and it deceived me entirely
Saved from the wickedness of my heart as I’ve been led astray before, you know?
You know you’re beginning to give me an end in mind
Show me the rising dawn in your eyes before I get blind
Don’t walk away from my grasp and forgiveness is a must
Won’t you ever grow up and stop being so insensitive? You surely broke my trust…
Engulf me with Your encouragement and Hope, Lord of liberty
Embolden me with your discernment and mere bravery
Please glimmer like the moonlight beneath the sea of reverie
Fright and fear no longer lingers in my mind of humility
Passion inspires me…let’s me be me
Motivates me to keep on going
Compassion makes me feel oh so free
Delights me as I keep on glowing
Your words are so powerful and invigorating to the soul
You hurt me and shelter me at the same time and it’s interesting as a whole
I’ve been laid to rest while you make a run out the door
You and I don’t love each other anymore, but what for?
