Joyous New Awakenings

I watched them from their slumber wake Golden trumpets greet the sun, Daffodils in resplendent glory Announcing spring had now begun. Once more colour paints the landscape Spring arrives in many hues, Bluebells carpet wood and field Splendid in their multitudes. Once again life is stirring In joyous new awakenings, Delivered now from winters grip Into the arms, of welcome spring. Entry for LATE MAR 2018 PREMIERE CONTEST, ANY FORM OR NONE, ANY THEME UP TO max 20 LINES - Poetry Contest 23/3/18. Placed 2nd.

Lovely imagery! I'm in Virginia where it snowed 4 days ago and I long for Spring just as delivered in your poem. Reading it was like fresh Spring-tingled air on my skin. Thank you. Poetry hugs ... CayCay
