Joyful Canine
Joyful canine
brandy warm eyes light
intelligent soft and bright
no language so right
dive after the birds
thrilling that they scatter wild
‘cross the azure pond
smiling the while, gay
tail wags the triumphant hunt
struts out the cold wet
