Joy To the World, Summer Edition

**So, where I live a blizzard just ended a day ago, and as a result we are having a white Christmas. Now Christmas is a great season, but I really love summer. This is a summertime parody of "Joy To the World."

Done with the snow, the sun is hot.
Let play outside revive
Let every child, the girls and boys
swing freely at the park
swing freely at the park
swing freely, freely at the park.
***

Done with the cold, the summer sings
Dive deep into the pool.
While parks and picnics, watermelons and BBQ,
bask the sunshine glow
bask the sunshine glow
bask, bask the sunshine glow.
***
Sun rules the land, with heat and warmth.
And makes great fun outside
The rays of bright glory delight
And boost of serotonin
And boost of serotonin
and boost, boost of serotonin
And boost, boost of serotonin.

LOVE it, Miranda. I'm a summertime gal myself and I also love writing Xmas parodies. I started off my time here with a few Christmas parodies.

I just saw some editing I need to do on this poem. Will need to be home to make it happen.

Cheers! Having a July birthday really helps me love summer time all the more. As a child I liked winter way better than as an adult. There is something about spinning a car on black ice and landing in a cornfield, kills the child like enjoyment of winter.
