Joy

All I remember of joy
Is what we shared along the way
All temptations to annoy
We suffered, and gave our best away.
The doings so you were glad
The givings that kept you satisfied
And silence for being mad.
Joy was a quiet evening by the fence
The gentle laugh, the silent stare
The turmoil of sleep as evidence
The future fountaining unaware.
All I remember of joy are quiet days
Staring beachwise at sunset and horizon
Evening was full of games the plays
Innocent yet subtler than Jacob's hand.
Joy is a soul that gives delight
A beacon there in a stormy night.

Joy comes in simple little things -many little things. Awesome. Love, Toquyen
