Joy
across the room our eyes meet
and have that
secret conversation
always we have done this
our very secret jokes and word plays
on everyone else's conversations
everyday or holiday
still funny 2 decades later
I can look at you
and know your decision before you speak it
your desire before you touch me
your hunger as you prowl
your need to work as your body tightens
your need for music as before you play
your need for rest before you go
oh its a joy
to be near you always
an adventure of life well done
