Journeys

My journeys, my adventures through time
have come to you on the wings of many a rhyme.

There are delightful blisses, heart breaking sorrows,
from the past, in the here and now, in my tomorrows.

Tomorrows, being the future we may not know.
Tomorrows, promised to no one, we may not go

into that space , that place in futures time,
except for psychics, writers of prose and rhyme.

The essence of my checkered past, my history,
have come to you through many a sad story.

Ninety two volumes, in honest detail, do tell
of this foolish man, seventy three, who fell

from the walls, onto the wrong side of life’s glory,
to live out a life of ???,  this be a part of my story. 

The many adventures, journeys coming to an end
as I slowly saunters upon a path to the next bend.

I thought 92 chapters referred to age, but no, so I'm wondering if its meaning should be clear to me??? This is as sad as you intended, at least to me - you gave a certain feel life with your pen. Jr. Atfield Date: 9/28/2016 10:03:00 PM Sorry my Dear, but “ I thought 92 chapters referred to age, ” is in reference to the number of volumes of my family history books (( some 23, 000 pages, some 31,000 photos that tell my story )) an biographical, autobiographical, pictorial picture of this seventy three (( seventy four next month )) year old man who knows and accepts life as it laid itself before my soul, my spirit during days gone by and in days to come. “ This is as sad as you intended, at least to me - you gave a certain feel life with your pen. ” No sadness intended my Dear, but we all do project, onto things around us, that which doth reflect the inner spirit we seldom see within ourselves . “ All the best, William ”. Thank you for expressing your feelings “ I am very touched, and then there is the sadness I felt, a sad lament I think we all share once time is mostly behind us. ” although I never composed this rhyme with any feeling or thoughts that represented a sadness, Just an observation of my life lived in all it’s moments, moments I jumped into with both feet, suck the life out of and move on, as can be attested to by the essence of many of my rhymes in my blog and on poetrysoup.
