Journey To the Wildflower Plains

Take me away
To the open plains
Where the winds and
Wildflowers play.
Open and free
Just you and me
Feeling the high
Of a strong steady breeze.
Up, up way up high
We fly free like kites
And soar with eagles
Til clouds are nigh.
And when our trip is done
We’ve had our fun
We slowly just in time
For the setting sun.
As winds calm and cool
Yellow, orange and red hues pool
Deep into the horizon we gaze
Upon a rare and precious jewel.
Embraced in the night we are
Covered in wildflowers scars
Entertained as we watch
The sky ignite with stars.
Even the moon glorious in glow
With its bitter sweet smile knows
That all great things must end
As the night comes to close.
A new day will be upon us soon
As nature sings her latest tunes
To lullaby us on our way back home
And our everyday roles we resume.
Journey with me to the open plains
Where the winds and wildflowers play
Open and free just you and me
Basking in wildflower bouquets.
