Journey To the End

I take my first step
"Child" is all I can say.

I take my seat. It's the
Same day after day.

I gaze out the window
As the time passes.

Surrounded by the yawning,
Disgruntled masses.

I survey the world
From a floor above.

I can see the real people;
Ones who push and shove.

It starts to get crowded.
Seats become rare.

I see the good in those
Who have the will to share.

People ring around me,
Desperate to leave.

Others give incorrect
Change, hoping to deceive.

Some just sit quietly,
Watching ths mayhem.

I'm proud to say that I
Am one of them.

I glance at my surroundings
and realise I'm near.

I ring twice for good measure,
So the message is clear.

I bid farewell to my
Tempoary friends.

I reach my destination, my
Stop, journey's end.

Hi Paul a great account of your journey. I wonder what the others are thinking when they travel everyday on the same journey. God Bless. Leon
