Journey
Journey
In my life I have encounters
Some of them may cause some fear
I may try hard to evade them
Still towards me they will steer
But they seem to have a reason
Each of them a different role
All connected to the story
That is my life as a whole
And the story is not stagnant
It develops as it goes
As I travel I am cautious
I seek blessing, I dodge woes
When I near a bend too curvy
I stay focused, I slow down
Often times a rash decision
Will cause quite a few to frown
And distractions too are plenty
Some are waving, some may wink
I can’t yield to this diversion
Though it’s tempting, I must think
I continue quite determined
I will bravely walk this course
I’ll use wisdom and discernment
This won’t force to show remorse
But if ever I should stumble
For life’s course is never paved
I’ll continue with my journey
Whether injured or just chafed
As I walk the road that leads me
I tread steadily, I don’t stroll
Ever forward I am moving
Till I safely reach my goal.
