Journey

my mind was full of a thousand thoughts
so I never chose a path
I started down so many roads
but turned ,and soon came back

some of them held interest
though not for very long
so back I turned ,because I was burned
and felt like i was wronged

I tried so many different roads
a lot of those dead ends
but you meet nice folk along the way
and some are still good friends

now many years have passed me by
and some they are quite blurred
there was whiskey ,wine
and some good times
and lots of lines were slurred

so apologies to those
to those I hosed
It was never meant to hurt
and always try remember
you should know you're own self worth

and if I could do it all again
even with a map
I'm sure I'd make the same mistakes
because my wife say's I'm a sap
