Johnny Foster

Little Johnny Foster...
Whatever Became of Him?
We Sat in a Field of Clover,
And Pledged Our Love to the End.

That Was a Million Years Ago.
Why Did I Think of That?
It Was a Magical Time for Us
And I Wish I Could Go Back.

Of Course it Can't Be Done,
But for a Short Span of Time,
I Can Remember Life Was Wonderful
And Johnny Foster Was All Mine.

I Wonder If He's Still Alive
And Did His Life Become a Heaven?
Just the Way We Planned it...
When I Was Six and He Was Seven?

Well, it Doesn't Matter Anymore.
He moved away and We Grew Apart
But I Have a Special Place,
For Johnny Foster in My Heart.
