Jiggety Jog

Fight the jet lag; stay awake. Mail to deal with; calls to make. Clear the suitcase; clean the clothes. Fridge needs filling, I suppose. Hit the market, as you must. Trip is over – readjust! Mind is in a time-zone fog. Home again, home again – jiggety jog!

An interesting play on off to the market to buy a fat pig. Reminded me of my Uncle Ben who I dearly loved. When we got back from somewhere he'd go "Home again, Home again, Jiggity Jig!" I love this write and thanks for the memories!

Resonates with me for sure. Just came back from ~ Ger a 24-hour total trip to Queens, Manhattan, and Brooklyn, NY. (Almost got killed 3x: twice by an Uber driver, once by a cabbie). Oh, that readjustment! (I wrote 'just came back,' when I actually walked into my house in Chicago at Noon, Monday). ~ Gershon

Glad you had a nice time, back to the grind now, but you'll have fond memories. Tom

Returning home is so hard and getting back to the run of the mill day to day routine makes the holiday seem a distant memory. So glad you had a wonderful holiday:-) hugs Jan xx
