Jesus Is My Superhero

He chose to live a simple life,
So important was his mission!
Though around him corruption was rife
He never yielded to temptation!
He would cure a serious ailment
But think of no emolument!

He taught: "You must do unto others
As you would have them do unto you."
Today experts, critics, teachers
And scholars share a common view:
That this injunction is The Golden Rule,
The one potential world peace tool!

He died like a sheep before shearers,
Never becoming abusive or despondent.
When reached by his would be killers
He organised an escape for his adherents.
Then, alone, he faced the foes
And exposed himself to any intended blows!

He still inspires men even today.
His ways have become guidelines.
He taught the world how to pray,
Forgive and pursue godliness.
Myriads profess to be his disciples
And to live by his principles.

At two years invaded by King Herod.
From thirty pursued by the establishment
For saying that he had come from God.
He never yielded to resentment.
He could say: "The devil has no hold on me."
He's the integrity epitome!
