Jesus, Gave Me a Lift

Believing was mile marker one,
on my road to becoming.
When Jesus entered my heart
I was lifted past thumbing.
I couldn’t become more
without first believing that He could.
Today, I sit lamenting times,
when I grossly misunderstood.
