Jester Dreams
Boisterous laughter in echoing halls
and merry his labor seems;
the fool in bells, to their merriment falls
‘fore slipping away into dreams.
His dreams are a haven.
His dreams are a home.
His dreams offer something between
the nightmare of breath
and the nightmare of death,
in his dreams finds he something serene.
