Jesse, I'M Coming To Know You

Jesse, I’m coming to know you,
Better than ever before.
Danger and trouble are leaving our lives…
Children are crawling the floor.

Jesse, I’m coming to know you,
You’re drawing closer to me.
Finding a future and finding a farm—
Thank God, we found Tennessee!

Sometimes at night when I’m sleeping,
Nightmares, they enter my head.
‘Hear people shooting and dying…
Wake up—so safe in our bed.

Jesse, I’m coming to know you,
Even though we’ve changed our names.
‘Worth it to find a new life full of peace—
They’ll never catch Jesse James.

Not while you’re holding me—
In Tennessee……
