Jealousy
I feel empty from time to time,
The love I have for you is true.
In one breathe I tell you of your perfection,
In the next I made you feel so blue.
It’s like a button that keeps me safe.
A way to keep me from harm.
I adore you with all my heart,
that’s when my mind hits the alarm.
All I ever wanted was a girl like you,
Full of love, caring and kind.
You are too perfect for words,
You drive me completely out of my mind.
Jealousy is not a word I like to use,
It echoes a feeling of pain
Making me think irrationally,
I end up shutting you out in the rain.
I see the tears roll down your cheek,
As you look at me blurred vision.
You radiate pain, hurt and anger,
Hating what I’ve done, I made a final decision.
You look at me, say you need me.
You ask me to stay and touch my face.
I don’t deserve all this love from you,
But you stand tall with ultimate grace.
I’m dying inside as I hate that I’ve hurt you.
I’m crying that I’ve made you numb.
I never want to hurt you again,
Jealous is what I become.
