Jealous of Heaven

There she stood by his side
He wiped a teardrop from her eye
And said I love you

I know you've known this for a while
With her gracious pretty smile
She said I do

You know all of my transgressions
Have brought us to this day
And before I go there's something to you that I must say
Without you I would've never had become
Jealous of Heaven

With my eyes I see an Angel
Whose soul made mine whole
I swear you walk on water
And paved the streets of gold

You were my rainbow and my sunshine
All wrapped into one
And I confess that you're the reason I'd become
Jealous of Heaven

With the truth now off his chest
He had gotten to confess
His last I love you

Then he softly slipped away
With a smile still on his face
He left as proof

As her eyes filled up with tears
Her broken voice became more clear
There's also one last thing I'll say to you

You're not the only one
Whose confession has begun
With the words
I'm Jealous of Heaven

With my eyes I see an Angel
Whose soul made mine whole
I swear you walked on water
Now walk those streets of gold

You were my rainbow and my sunshine
All wrapped into one
And I admit you're not the only one
Jealous of Heaven
