James 1:2

Harsh realities all these years
Most playin’ to our key fears
With loud voices tryin’ to limit our choices
Keep our heads clear

A window opens when a door closes
Be open to change like my man Moses
Make your thinkin’ side
Listen to its spirit guide

If you feel it stand your ground
Wake up and look around
Walk upright and work for truth
Live in God’s light, James 1:2
Serve what you hold dear
And fight to make it clear
Do what you have to do
Live in God’s light, James 1:2

You won’t find me in a lion’s den
But I’m watchin’ out for my fellow man
It’s a privilege for us to take care of our earthly home
But if we sit back with our loop-holes
We’ll end up a rock in space with no souls
What a waste, what a blow, pray it isn’t so

If you feel it stand your ground
Wake up and look around
Walk upright and work for truth
Live in God’s light, James 1:2
Serve what you hold dear
And fight to make it clear
Do what you have to do
Live in God’s light, James 1:2

Keep tryin’ to shine line upon
How we love a healthy, loving world for all to live on

If you feel it stand your ground
Wake up and look around
Walk upright and work for truth
Live in God’s light, James 1:2
Serve what you hold dear
And fight to make it clear
Do what you have to do
Live in God’s light, James 1:2

Harsh realities all these years
Most playin’ to our key fears
