Jaded

So badly. So desperately.
So sure. So achingly.
So ready. So complete.
Jaded is what I was

You were hurting. I was pleading.
You were unsure. I was in pain
You took the chance. I was tripping
Jaded is what I was

You looked alive. I felt we survived
You started to shiver. I felt a quiver.
You looked at me. I saw you.
Jaded is what we were.

I shook beside you. You begged for more.
I gave it to you. You had pain no core.
I watched you relax. You kissed my mind.
Jaded we were not. Gone is what we got.
